The Festival Mass
Sunday, 5th July at 10am In this BBC year of the Four Composers, the Festival Mass at St Andrew's on Sunday 5th July at 10am will include:
Haydn's Missa Brevis in Bb (with the Hunting Gloria)
Handel's See the Conquering Hero Comes
Purcell's O God, thou art my God
The service will also include a Mendelssohn Organ Sonata.
The Visiting Preacher will be Fr Aiden Nichols OP
John Paul II Memorial Visiting Lecturer at the University of Oxford and Fellow of Greyfriars, Oxford.
Bach Vespers
Sunday, 12th July at 6pm
The Music will include a Bach Cantata,
newly-commissioned Responses (founded on Bach Chorales),
Instrumental and Organ pieces by J S Bach.
